Ghost Sonar Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Ghost Sonar ("we," "our," or "the App") is an entertainment application that uses your device's sensors to create a paranormal investigation experience. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use Ghost Sonar.

IMPORTANT: Ghost Sonar is designed for entertainment purposes only. It is not a scientific instrument and does not actually detect paranormal activity.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Sensor Data (Processed Locally Only)

Ghost Sonar accesses the following device sensors to generate the user experience. All sensor data is processed exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties:

2.2 Audio Recordings (EVP Files)

• What: Audio recordings you create using the EVP recorder feature
• Where Stored: Locally on your device only
• Retention: Until you delete them through the app or device file manager
• Access: Only you can access these files. We do not have access to your recordings.
• Export: You may export recordings via your device's share functionality

2.3 Session Logs

• Timestamps of detected words and events
• Session metadata (duration, mode settings, detected word list)
• Sensor snapshots associated with EVP recordings
• Storage: Local device only - never transmitted

2.4 Speech Recognition

On-Device Processing Only: Ghost Sonar uses on-device speech recognition to detect words spoken in your environment. This processing happens entirely on your device. Speech audio is never sent to external servers for transcription.

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 AdMob (Free Version Only)

The free version of Ghost Sonar displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process certain information:

• Advertising ID: Used for personalized ads (you can reset this in device settings)
• Device Information: Device model, operating system, IP address
• Usage Data: Ad impressions, clicks, and app interactions with ads

3.2 Paid Version

The paid version of Ghost Sonar does NOT contain any advertisements and does not use AdMob or any other third-party advertising services.

4. How We Use Information

All sensor data is used exclusively to generate the Ghost Sonar experience:

• Real-Time Processing: Sensor readings are normalized and fused to create presence scores and visual effects
• Event Generation: Sensor anomalies trigger in-app events (radar blips, word detection, planchette movement)
• Theatrical Content: When sensors are quiet, manufactured events are generated locally to maintain engagement
• EVP Metadata: Sensor snapshots are attached to EVP recordings for user reference

We do NOT:

• Transmit sensor data to external servers
• Sell or share your data with third parties (except AdMob in free version as described above)
• Use your microphone audio for any purpose other than on-device speech recognition and your explicit EVP recordings
• Access your location, contacts, photos, or other unrelated device data

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1 Local Storage

• EVP recordings are stored in your device's local storage
• Session logs and metadata are stored in app-specific directories
• Developer Mode settings (if unlocked) are stored locally

5.2 Data Security

• All data remains on your device and is protected by your device's security features
• EVP files are accessible only through the app or your device file manager
• No cloud backup or sync occurs unless you manually export files

5.3 Data Deletion

You can delete all app data by:

• Deleting individual EVP recordings through the app
• Clearing app data in device settings
• Uninstalling the app (removes all local data)

Ghost Sonar requests the following Android/iOS permissions:

Permissions are requested at point-of-use: We ask for microphone access when you first attempt to use voice detection or EVP recording, not on app launch.

7. Children's Privacy

Ghost Sonar is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us immediately.

Age Rating: Ghost Sonar is rated for users 12+ due to paranormal/supernatural themes.

8. International Users & GDPR Compliance

8.1 EU/UK Users (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right to Access: Request information about data stored locally on your device
• Right to Deletion: Delete all app data through device settings or app uninstallation
• Right to Object: Disable ad personalization in device settings (free version)
• Data Portability: Export EVP files via device share function

8.2 California Users (CCPA)

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Know: We disclose all data collection in this policy
